Vintage Wings - Photography Exhibition at Gallery Turner Park

Gallery Turner Park will host an exhibition of my vintage aviation photography for the month of November. From the ever-popular Lancaster and B-25, to rare visiting aircraft such as the Mosquito, all take us back to honor another time.

My methods and approach to aviation photography draw on my background as a visual artist. At times I will edge realism ever so slightly for a more artistic feel while accentuating the lines and form through light and shadow.

I am a fine art photographer specializing in aerial and aviation photography. My award-winning photography is sold through specialty stores in the city of Hamilton and as well as online.

I've exhibited in, or sold through, many art auctions, fundraising events, and galleries, including the Art Gallery of Hamilton, McMaster Innovation Park, Fieldcote Museum, Dundas Valley School of Art, DVSA Gallery, and the Louvre in Paris.

My photography and paintings hang in private collections and in professional offices throughout Canada, the United States, France, and the United Kingdom.

This aviation exhibition will be showing throughout the month of November at Gallery Turner Park in the Turner Park branch of Hamilton Public Library at 352 Rymal Road East in Hamilton. Check the library's site for hours of operation.

    Preparing for MiP's dropoff night
Now with the COAA Crossection Exhibition over, I prepare for the upcoming McMaster Innovation Park's Art in the Workplace exhibition.

This time my Canadian Snowbirds print will be joined by the CF-18 Hornet with its Canada150 commemorative paint scheme.

This will be the 25th exhibition at McMaster Innovation Park and so it is planned to be a very special one where the artists have turned an eye to creating pieces that will fit with the theme of celebrating Canada's 150th anniversary as well as celebrating Hamilton.

It promises to be a very special exhibition and I look forward to seeing all the wonderful art!

A Day on the Bridge Auction News
Congratulations and thank you to the winning bidder of my aerial photography of Cootes Paradise in Hamilton. It was one of 30 artworks at the art auction for the Day on the Bridge, a fundraising initiative that continues to need more donations for the purchase of lands to help protect our gorgeous natural areas. The event was a great success but more donations are needed for the Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark System

Artistic Meanderings at the Art Gallery of Hamilton

The Central Ontario Art Association 2017 Annual Juried Exhibition held at the Art Gallery of Hamilton in the Upper Fischer Gallery features 64 works of landscape, portraiture, photography, abstraction, sculpture and more, juried this year by Sam Paonessa a successful commercial artist and educator based in Scarborough Ontario.

Today is the opening reception of this juried COAA exhibition and I am honoured to have two pieces in this two-month-long exhibition. I took an industrial theme and submitted one industrial aerial photograph I call "The City Beyond" and one industrial encaustic painting called "Industry at Night".

Accepted into McMaster Innovation Park' 20th Art Exhibit
I'm very pleased to announced I have been accepted into McMaster Innovation Park' 20th Art Exhibit. My submitted photograph is an architectural piece this time, taken while in London, England visiting a good friend this past summer. I adore the architecture in London, most every building is a a work of art with attention given to lines, form, texture and flow.
I hope you will come join me at the opening reception on Tuesday April 5th from 7-9pm. There is music, hors d'oeuvres, drinks and an amazing two-floored atrium full of wonderful local art and photography. A really lovely way to spend a couple of hours taking in the talents of so many Hamilton area artists.
