Fine Art || Encaustic || Cold Wax/Oil || Acrylics
My life-long passions in art are what drive me. I am an encaustic painter, using a 2500-year-old highly archival technique. I paint using molten beeswax, damar tree sap, and raw pigments – all worked and fused with the flame of my blowtorch. Cold wax painting, an offshoot of encaustics, blurs the line between oil painting and encaustic. It is not worked with heat but is equally as alluring. And of course, acrylics, my long-time medium for painting is what I return to time and time again. Click to see what I’m up to in my visual art practice.
Aerial || Aviation || Landscape Photography
Aerial and aviation photography have been a passion of mine since 2007. My aerials are always shot from a Cessna 172 – and being around airports, I get to easily fuel my love for aircraft. When not immersed in aviation photography, I enjoy shooting nature, landscape and street. As for personal pursuits in photography I love the thrill of capturing high-powered rockets and festivals.
